ECW - Episcopal/Lutheran Church Women | St. Mary's, an Episcopal-Lutheran Community

The ECW meets each month in the fellowship hall. They take great pride in supporting the needs of the community. The group is involved in several ministries: United Thank Offering, Church Periodical Club, ECW scholarships, Pender County Christian Services, providing supplies for local schools, and the Episcopal Farmworkers Ministry. The ECW has adopted a Franciscan blessing as their motto: May God bless us with enough foolishness to believe we can make a difference in the world, so that we CAN do what others say cannot be done!

The mission of St. Mary's Episcopal-Lutheran Community, Burgaw, is to witness the love of God in Christ for all people. To this end we commit ourselves to faithful worship as we gather together around Word and Sacrament, share our resources with those in need and invite all to share our life in Christ.

Episcopalians have worshiped at St. Mary’s for over 100 years! Now offering both Episcopalian and Lutheran services, St. Mary's supports the local community through participation in the Wounded Warriors Project and other outreach initiatives.
